Nine Layered Salad

Ingredients:
Lettuce
Spanish onion
Green or red pepper
1 pint mayonnaise
4-6 oz. shredded sharp cheddar cheese
Celery 
Frozen peas (cooked and cooled)
2 Tbsp. sugar
4 strips bacon (fried til crisp and crushed)

Directions:
Cut up lettuce to cover 3/4 of a large bowl.  Mix together the mayonnaise and sugar.  On top of lettuce, make a layer of the onion, pepper, celery, peas, mayonnaise, cheese and bacon.
