Ingredients:
1 3/4 c. sugar
2 1/2 c. water
1 1/2 c. lemon juice (about 8 lemons)
1 1/2 c. orange juice (about 5 oranges)
2 Tbsp. grated lemon peel
2 Tbsp. grated orange peel
Water
Directions:
In a large saucepan, combine the sugar and water. Cook over medium heat until sugar is dissolved, stirring occasionally. Cool.
Add juices and peel to cooled sugar syrup. Cover and let stand at room temperature for 1 hour. Strain syrup; cover and refrigerate.
To serve, fill glasses or pitcher with equal amounts of fruit syrup and water. Add ice and serve.
