Chocolate Crunch Cookies

Ingredients:
1/3 c. margarine
1/2 lb. marshmallows, about 35 large
1/2 c. chopped peanuts
1 c. semi-sweet chocolate pieces
1/2 tsp. vanilla
5 c. Rice Krispies


Directions
Cook butter, marshmallows and chocolate pieces over low heat; watch closely until syrupy.  Add vanilla; heat thoroughly.  Measure Rice Krispies in a large bowl, also the peanuts.  Pour marshmallow mixture over cereal; stir briskly.  Press firmly into buttered 9x12 inch pan; use buttered spatula for pressing together.  Cut into squares when cool.
